When you try to decolonize something you try to uncover if there’s been an influence of colonial ideology or supremacy idea – in Europe it’s in general the idea of white supremacy. (…) Was there some sort of legacy from some other backgrounds that has been erased? For example me, I work a lot with computation and we don’t often realize that for mathematics for example we have a big legacy of arabic culture (…) but nowadays when people think about technologies, mathematics and science etc there’s been a lot of a whitewashing: we see a kind of supremacy from western countries in our perceptions. So this is a way for example for a path to decolonize – so this is more a method that I try to highlight.
